Package of services - Secondary Schools

The resources, advice and training provided in this package will enable school libraries and departments to cost-effectively widen the range of up to date quality books (fiction and non-fiction) available to pupils when required.

School library staff benefit from advice, training and support from the schools' library service's professional librarians on current issues related to developing the library. The package contains project box service, book loan service, artefact service and access to termly meetings and training. 

The school receives a minimum of 400 books or other items (worth up to £4,600) plus training and information meetings.

The package consists of:-

  • 6 project boxes per year and 175 books from the book loan service
  • PLUS up to 3 Artefact boxes per year and a resource ticket for individual loans
  • PLUS training and support for up to 2 library staff at one meeting each term.
