What happens next?

Whilst we make enquiries, we may provide accommodation in the short term.

This may mean we provide temporary accommodation in a bed and breakfast hotel, hostel, flat or house if you are unable to make alternative arrangements. If what you are offered is unsuitable you should tell the council why.

Note: Do not refuse the offer without getting advice first.

This accommodation is only provided whilst a decision is made regarding your homeless application.

When the council finishes its enquiries it will write to you about its decision and will give reasons if it decides not to house you in the long term.
