eAudio Books

OneClickdigital : This link opens in a new window

Over 250 free bestselling audiobooks for you to download to your computer or device for up to three weeks. This service is compatible with most MP3 and WMA devices.  Apps for iPads, iPhones and Android devices are also available. 
You can download up to ten titles at a time and keep them for up to three weeks. Loans automatically expire at the end of the loan period so there are no fines and, as each title has unlimited availability, there are no waiting lists!
You will need to create an account and download OneClickdigital Media Manager to access the books.

Newspapers and magazines

Get today's newspapers: popular publications from the UK and all around the world and in a variety of languages.

As well as the current issues there is also a backfile of up to three months for each paper.  Unlike other online newspaper resources Library Press Display feels almost like reading an actual newspaper with pages that turn when you click the corners, the text written as it is in the paper, all the pictures included (as are all the sections of the paper) - and all this in colour too!

British Newspaper Archive : This link opens in a new window

The British Newspapers Archive aims to digitize up to 40 million newspaper pages from the British Library, from the 1800s right up to 1999. Filter your search by time period, region or place or publication and see how historical events were reported in their own time.
