Parents: Sign your child up for tuition and music school

Tuition is arranged via the music teachers at your child's school.

Saxophonist

We offer three kinds of music tuition:

  • Whole Class Ensemble Teaching (for beginners, arranged by your child's school)
  • Standard tuition (for students in the early stages of learning, often beginners)
  • Advanced tuition (for students invited to the next level by one of our teachers)

We also offer all students (whether having lessons with us or not), the chance to participate in the ensembles in our Music School, either the beginner Thursday night ensembles, or the intermediate/advanced ensembles on Saturdays.

Prices listed are per school term and apply from .autumn term 2017 until summer term 2018, Future changes to prices will be announced on this website.

Whole Class Ensemble Tuition

This is available via your child's primary school, if offered - usually in the junior years (Years 2 to 6). You can't sign your child up for this on this site, so talk to the music co-ordinator at your child's school instead.

If your school doesn't offer this but would like to, they can approach the Music Hub about starting up lessons if they don't currently offer this but want to. See our Whole class ensemble tuition (WCET) page for more about this programme.

Standard Tuition (for beginners or students continuing from Whole Class)

  • Price per term: £63.70
  • Instrument hire per term: £14.90
  • Discounted rates are also available to those on low incomes. See more details below.

You can sign up for this programme via the peripatetic teachers in your child's school. If you haven't yet had an invitation to enrol, you can contact the Music Hub to find out more, or talk to your child's school to see what tuition is available.

If you already have an enrolment letter with the name of a teacher and a start date, please fill in the enrolment form.

Enrolment for standard tuition

If you are enrolling for the first time, you will need to phone us up to make payment after you have filled in the form. Before enrolling please also check the lesson terms and conditions

Standard tuition is not available in private schools or schools outside the borough boundaries. We are consulting on the possibility of offering this service to home educated students.
