The Local Plan is the foundation for how planning will be controlled in Hillingdon.
Hillingdon's Local Implementation Plan (LIP) sets out how the Council proposes to implement the Mayor's Transport Strategy (MTS) and provides details on transport strategy, projects, proposals and programmes from 2011.
Hillingdon has a wide variety of historic assets; these include archaeological sites, traditional village centres, canals, historic buildings and landscapes.
The UDP was originally adopted in Sept 1998 as Hillingdon's statutory development plan. It is being replaced by the emerging Local Plan.

Drainage is now a material planning consideration for the Local Planning Authority. Any new or redevelopment should ensure their drainage system utilises sustainable drainage.
