Freedom of Information (FOI) and your Planning Submission

All information submitted (by applicants or those commenting on an application) with regard to a planning application will be in the public realm and/or disclosed under Freedom of Information Requests.

In exceptional circumstances information may be deemed confidential by an applicant or those commenting on a planning application and subject to an exemption under Freedom of Information Regulations.

The onus is on applicants and those commenting on applications to identify clearly where this is the case and to explain why they consider the information should be exempt under the Regulations.
