Want to discover your family history but unsure where to begin?

Whether you're completely new to the subject or an experienced researcher in need of advice, help is at hand.

Hillingdon Family History Society are running a series of monthly one-to-one help sessions between 10am and 1pm on the 6th floor of Uxbridge Library every first Saturday of the month:

  • 7 October
  • 4 November
  • 2 December

The expert volunteers will be able to get you started and guide you through the research process. 

In addition staff from Hillingdon Local Studies, Archives and Museum service will be on hand to help you make use of our library, archive and web resources, including our free subscription to top genealogy site Ancestry.com.

These sessions are free and open to all residents of the borough but bookings are recommended by calling Hillingdon Local Studies on 01895 250702, or emailing archives@hillingdon.gov.uk  and leaving your name and telephone number.
