Thinking of giving up?

We hope students learn with us for a long time, but if your child is thinking of giving up, you can let us know here.

Considering giving up?

Learning an instrument is very rewarding, but is also a commitment. Sometimes practice can be hard for students to keep up, and progressing from one stage to another can be challenging, especially with other demands on a child's time.

If your child is in this position and talking about giving up, please consider carefully if stopping is the right choice and won't be something you and your child might regret in the future.

Before you make a decision, why not discuss your child's progress with their peripatetic teacher, who might be able to suggest ways of moving forward?

However, if after a discussion you feel that your child cannot continue, please see below how to let us know.

If your child is holding a hired music service instrument this will need to be returned to their instrumental teacher as soon as possible. Please don't return instruments to the Music Service office.  Arts Council England
