Ward Councillors

In November 2016, £1,500 of Ward Budget funding was awarded from Yiewsley Ward Councillors to the Community Cancer Centre to go towards providing Christmas meals for all of the volunteers that help at the centre.

  • Funding to Yiewsley Library for the hire of a story-teller for the Yiewsley summer picnic in August.

Projects funded in 2016

  • A grant to the Community Cancer Centre towards a Christmas meal for all volunteers as a thank you.
  • A grant to St Martin's Drama Club for the purchase of three new wireless microphones and towards the production of the winter show.
  • Funding to Yiewsley Library towards running the Yiewsley summer picnic event for local families.
  • A grant to 6th Hillingdon Scouts Group towards a new dining shelter and camp lighting.
  • A grant to St Matthew's CE Primary School/St Matthew's Church towards the iSingPop musical project.
  • A grant to Yiewsley Cornerstone Centre to provide 15 weekly physical and mental wellbeing group sessions for older residents of Yiewsley.
  • A grant to Yiewsley and West Drayton Town Centre Action Group (YWDTCAG) towards the annual May fair and Christmas fair.
  • A grant to Al Jannah Academy towards an educational trip to London to learn about the history of UK.

  • A grant to St Matthew's Church Centre towards the cost of setting up Foodshare Plus, a foodbank and advice service.
  • A grant to Rabbsfarm Primary School PTA for the purchase of a BBQ and large gazebo for PTA events and fund raising events.
  • A grant to the Community Cancer Centre towards a Christmas meal for the volunteers.
  • A grant to Barr Lodge and Bond Close sheltered housing residents to fund the coach and refreshments for day trip to the coast.
  • A grant to Young People's Academy to purchase goal posts and nets for the football pitches.
  • A grant to Yiewsley and West Drayton Town Centre Action Group to fund the running of two community events.
  • A grant to Yiewsley and West Drayton Town Centre Action Group for a community event.
  • A grant to the Hillingdon Multicultural Knowledge Group (HMKG) to fund a pilot English language course for members.

  • A grant to Yiewsley and West Drayton Town Centre Action Group to go towards Yiewsley Carnival.
  • A grant to the Outline Theatre group as part funding towards their performances within Yiewsley.
  • A grant to the Colham Manor Primary School Parents Teachers Association towards new playground equipment.

  • A grant to the Yiewsley and West Drayton Town Centre Action Group as match funding towards the Yiewsley Carnival.
  • Funding to install a community notice board at Violet Avenue.
  • A grant to match fund a St Matthews School and Church to install a community notice board along Yiewsley High Street.

Projects funded in 2012

  • A grant to the Outline Theatre Company to fund the 2012 productions.
  • A grant to St Matthew's Church to refurbish the community hall.
  • A grant to 6th Hillingdon Scouts to part fund path improvements.
  • A grant to Yiewsley Library to purchase books for Picnic in the Park.
  • A grant to Yiewsley Cornerstone Centre to run a fitness and exercise class for the over 50'.
  • A grant to the Community Cancer Centre to deliver fitness sessions.
  • A grant to Yiewsley and West Drayton Town Centre Action Group to part fund Yiewsley and West Drayton Summer Festival.
  • A grant to Hillingdon Manor School for a mobile interactive whiteboard.

Projects funded in 2009/10

  • A grant to Yiewsley Court for a fitness instructor and new seating.
  • A grant to the Friends of the Rural activity garden centre for set up costs for their parent user group.
  • Fencing improvements to Yiewsley recreation bowls green.
  • A grant to Safer Neighbourhoods Team to purchase promotional materials for the Dogwatch Business scheme.
  • A grant to hire Father Christmas and a narrow boat to attract increased shoppers to the area.
