Visiting the Battle of Britain Bunker

The only Battle of Britain Fighter Group Operations Room open to the public.

Please note: The Battle of Britain Bunker will be closed from Saturday 23 December until the new visitor centre is complete in February 2018.

Book your visit

The bunker is open Monday to Friday throughout the year with tours at 10am and 2pm. All visits must be booked in advance. Please book via:

Standard tours last between one and a half to two hours and include a 35 minute presentation in the plotting room on its function during the Battle of Britain. This may not be suitable for young children. 

Talks for schools and youth organisations are tailored to their age. 

The bunker is accessed via 76 steps and may be unsuitable for those with reduced mobility.

Entrance to the bunker is free but visitors are invited to make a donation of £3 per person in support of its upkeep.

The entrance is in Wren Avenue via St Andrew's Road and signposted from Honeycroft Hill. 

Satnav postcode is UB10 0BE (different from postal address). 

There is free parking on site.

If you come by tube, it takes approximately 20 minutes to walk to the Bunker from Uxbridge tube station.
