Summer Reading Challenge 2016

2016 was a pongswizzler of a challenge with over 8000 joiners of the challenge and nearly 2000 completers!

Many children participating in the challenge attended our free workshops run by library staff, facilitators and volunteers. From dreamjars to cookbooks and code breakers to creepy crawly's, the creativity and imagination of all those who participated was astounding. We hope that everyone who took part has as much fun as we did and found some fantastic new books to read in the process.

Some of the lovely comments we have received:

I think that the big friendly read is awesome because it's challenging and you get active with your reading! :) child aged 9 at Oak Farm Library

We have really enjoyed taking part in the summer reading challenge. Harry has loved his visits. We have discovered the 'Mr Gum' books and Harry has become a big fan of joke books Parent at Manor Farm Library
