Uxbridge walk three

A short walk of less than a mile that takes you down historic Windsor Street with a final loop around Rockingham recreation ground.

The route starts outside Uxbridge Underground Station.

  • Start at Uxbridge station which is on the Piccadilly and Metropolitan Lines.
     
  • Head straight into Windsor Street, the oldest part of Uxbridge, past St Margaret's Church.
     
  • At the end of the road cross over at the traffic lights.
     
  • Walk across the roundabout. On your left you will pass a War Memorial commemorating those lost from Uxbridge during World Wars.
     
  • Cross Trumper Way and head down Cowley Road, turning right into Wellington Road.
     
  • The Ivy Leaf Social Club is on your right hand side. Cross the footbridge over Fray's River.
     
  • Enter Rockingham Recreation Ground and turn left along the perimeter, following the man-made Fray's River which runs the mills at Little Britain, West Drayton.
     
  • You will come to a mini roundabout in the pathway, turn right and follow the pathway to the right around the perimeter of the park.
     
  • Exit Rockingham Recreation Ground at Fray's Waye.
