Rights and obligations under the terms of the lease

Leaseholders sometimes have a specific query about the terms of the lease.

Two women and one man

We will try and answer the question by looking at the documents immediately available to us. If, however, we have to obtain a copy of the actual lease, there will be a small charge. This is because the council's legal section holds your lease and they charge for supplying a copy of this from their secure storage area. Alternatively, you may wish to look at your copy of the lease. If you have a mortgage, your lender would normally hold this. You may also be able to download a copy of the lease from Land Registry.

For further information about this, including the level of charges, please contact the Risk Management Team.
