Home library

The home library service is for people who have difficulty visiting a library.

Home library service

The library staff call every four weeks and provide users a wide range of library materials free of charge. Residential Homes and Sheltered Housing establishments can also have collections of books.

How to join

If you would like to join, or know someone who would like to join, this service please:

Home library service What can be borrowed?

  • Books in ordinary print
  • Large print books
  • Talking books on cassette, CD and Playaway
  • Music on CD
  • Magazines

You can also make requests for specific books, which are free of charge.
