Free cycle training

We offer FREE cycling lessons for over 16's and adults living in the borough who would like to gain confidence on the road, or those looking to return to cycling who haven't ridden for a while.

The lessons are aimed at anyone over 16 who would like to gain confidence to cycle on the road, or those looking to return to cycling having not ridden for a while. The lessons are provided by an approved trainer, and involve up to four hours training which can be booked at convenient times.

*Please note: all applicants aged 16-17 will need to be accompanied by a adult over the age of 18 on their training sessions.

Training course

  • Up to four hours are provided free
  • Trainers are accredited by the CTC - the UK's national cyclist organisation
  • Complete beginner to experienced rider tuition
  • Choice of on or off road instruction
  • Cycle can be provided (subject to availability)

The warmer spring and summer weather is the perfect time to take up the free training.
