VAT is payable on these rents (excluding council tenants)

Some garages in certain areas are available to borough residents and non-borough residents alike at market rents from £27 per week exc of VAT. These are located within walking distance of the following London underground stations.

  • Eastcote
  • Hillingdon
  • Ickenham
  • Northwood
  • Northwood Hills
  • Ruislip Manor
  • South Ruislip
  • Uxbridge

Who can apply? 

Anyone can apply for a garage in Hillingdon however some garages are available to Hillingdon residents only. If you wish to apply for a garage these will be clearly labelled on the map.

Please note the council reserves the right to refuse an application if your housing rent is in arrears. If you knowingly provide false information your application for a garage could be cancelled.

What can I use the garage for?

Garages are let out for the use of vehicle or personal storage use only.  Trade or business cannot be conducted from council garages.
The council does not guarantee the condition of any of its garages and any goods stored within them are entirely at the owner's risk; the council does not accept any liability for any loss or damage.

Rental terms

Rents can be paid weekly or monthly. You will be required to complete a direct debit mandate form at your letting appointment.

Find and apply for a garage

All of the available garages across the borough are displayed on a map.

Once you have found a suitable garage you will have the option to make an application. You will be required to complete an application within 10 minutes in order to reserve the garage.

What happens next

Once you have submitted your application you will be contacted by a member of the garages team to arrange an appointment for you to attend the Civic Centre to complete the letting process.

Terminating your garage tenancy

We require seven days prior notice and you are required to let us know by completing this form and

  • return the garage key
  • repairs and maintenance

If your garage requires repair or maintenance during your tenancy it can be reported via the Council's contact centre on 01895 556666.
