Hayes Carnival

Hayes Carnival took place on Saturday 8 July 2017 and was once again a celebration of Hayes and its diverse community.

Renowned Bollywood choreographer, Jay Kumar and his Dance Asia Team led the parade from Central Avenue, along Botwell Lane to Barra Hall Park. They performed their routine along the route in a variety of colourful and dazzling costumes.

Events in the park started at 1.15pm on the main stage, with music and song from the Hillingdon Community Choir followed by the parade prize giving ceremony just after the parade arrived in the park. Red Jackson, a rhythm and blues trio and The Scapegoats, an indie-pop four piece performed and there was a Bollywood style dance class.

It was a fun afternoon for all the family, with a variety of amazing children's shows, a soft play and crafts area, Gozart and his Giant Puppet, Stilt Walkers, StoryCamp, a Sports Zone, Cycle Zone, floral displays, community stalls, a food court and Monty Hammond's Fun Fair.
