Cowley boasts a number of charming areas including Little Britain Lake, popular with anglers and inhabited by a variety of wildfowl. Cowley Lock on the Grand Union Canal is a prime conservation area and home to several waterside pubs and restaurants.
From here you can cruise away from London on the Grand Union canal or River Thames, or pass through London on the Paddington Arm and Regents canals.
Directions: Situated near Uxbridge on the Grand Union canal at its junction with the Slough Arm. Accessible by road from the M40, M4 and M25 (A408 Cowley directional signs), 25 mins by train from central London then 222 bus from West Drayton or Uxbridge, and only 15 mins from Heathrow Airport by taxi.
