London Borough of Hillingdon Childminding Network

The Hillingdon Childminding Network is a group of registered childminders managed by a Childminding Development Adviser who has the role of network coordinator.

The care provided by the childminding network is quality assured through regular monitoring and continuous training.

In order to be part of the Hillingdon Childminding Network, childminders should have a level 3 qualification and hold a Good or better Ofsted judgement. The childminders also have to be willing to take part in one or more schemes for children in the borough. These include two year old funding, three to four year old funding (FEEE), ECAT, Lead Practitioner, Buddy, Supported Subsidy Childminder or Caring for Children with Additional Needs. Childminders will benefit from professional development (CPD) through a programme of training courses to develop their service, whether they have been childminding for many years or are newly registered.

Zelda Parker (Network co-ordinator), along with Christine Mustill, Early Years Advisory Teacher, provides support to childminders on the network, by providing information and guidance on a wide range of childminding matters.

If you are interested in joining the network or require any further information please do not hesitate to contact the network co-ordinator on 01895 250516.
