Tea dance questions and answers

The following are some questions and answers around the Tea Dance events.

How many tickets can I book?

As many as you like.  Each form takes up to ten bookings for each event.

Can I make multiple bookings for multiple events?


Will I get confirmation?

Yes we send out letters or emails to confirm.  There are no actual tickets.

How often are the dances?

Every month.  See dates.

Is there dance tuition before the dance?

Yes, from 12:45-13:15.  This is free to attend but if you come in you must participate in the tuition.  The dance tuition is for beginners.

What time does the main dance start?

13:30. Entrance to the Middlesex Suite is from 13:20.

Is there parking?

No, but there is parking in the Pavilions and Intu (was the Chimes).  There is also  the possibility to drop off at the Middlesex Suite if required.  Please mark on form that disabled access is required.

Is there disabled access?

Yes, ramps exist up to the Middlesex Suite.

Is there a dress code?

No, but some people do choose to dress up.

What sort of dancing?

Ballroom, this includes waltz, rumba, quick step, tango, rock and jive.

Are there partners to dance with?

No official dancers but many people come on their own.  There are generally More ladies than men.  Everyone is seated at tables of ten or more so no one is by themselves.

Do you have to dance?

No, everyone is welcome.  It is a good social event.

Do you accept people from out of borough?

Yes, but Hillingdon residents will be given first priority.  You will receive a confirmation letter if you are able to attend.

Do I need to let you know if I can't come?

Yes, it would be appreciated if you could let us know so we can allocate the space.
