Primary schools project boxes

Project boxes are collections of books and posters tailored to meet your individual requests and provide resources for teachers to use in the classroom for up to a term to support the curriculum.

Resources provided are mainly books but can also be posters or artefacts. Boxes normally contain 25 books and other materials to meet requirements specified by the school.

Each collection is "tailor-made" to match school requests by Schools' Library Service librarians. Requests can be sent in at any time. Response times will vary depending on the nature of the request and timing in term, but will normally be 2 to 3 weeks. A list of the items in the collection will be provided in the box.

School staff can visit our centre in the Civic Centre during advertised opening hours and select project collections in person. Project collections are loaned for one term and can be renewed for one further term. A renewal will count as another box supplied to the school from their allocation for the year.
