Download a paper petition template

For the council to formally consider any paper petition, it will need to be clear what you are petitioning about and meet the requirements of our petition scheme.

Read the petition scheme [316KB]

The most important things to remember are:

  • if you are creating or submitting a petition, you must live in Hillingdon
  • for paper petitions, we will require the names, addresses and signatures of a minimum of 20 people who live in Hillingdon
  • if your petition relates to a current planning application or licensing matter, you must include details of the application (including application number - which you can search for on our website)
  • petitions are public documents, however your personal details as a signatory to a petition will not be published by us or made available to third parties
