Hermitage School

Work on the rebuild of Hermitage School, located in the centre of Uxbridge has been completed.

Hermitage School

An additional reception class opened and the number of pupils has now doubled to 450 including the Nursery.

An existing two-classroom temporary unit as well as a former caretaker's house has been demolished to make way for the new two-storey building. The school has now moved into this building.  The premises have been finished off with landscaping and multi-use games pitches.

Deputy Head teacher David Morris said: "This is an exciting time for everyone at the school. The new build and expansion has had a positive impact on everything we do thanks to brand new facilities and the huge educational impact that a two form entry school brings with it. A greater number of staff means extra opportunities for collaborative teaching, planning and assessment throughout the school."
