Basic rules for Blue Badge holders.

Disabled parking bay

The Blue Badge is issued to people with severe mobility problems, to enable holders to park close to jobs, services and facilities.

Using the Blue Badge

  • Always display your badge and clock clearly on the dashboard of the vehicle.
  • Do not allow others to use your blue badge - this is a criminal offence.

Where to park

In Hillingdon, Blue Badge holders may park free of charge and without time limit in:

  • Disabled persons parking bays on street and in Council run car parks
  • Permit holders only bays
  • Pay-and-display bays
  • Parking bays in Council run pay and display car parks
  • Brown Badge bays in Council run car parks and on street, providing that a genuine and valid Brown Badge is also displayed
  • Blue Badge holders may also park on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours, except where there is a ban on loading or unloading. The Blue Badge and the clock disc must be displayed showing the time of arrival

Note: Blue Badge concessions may vary in other local authority areas.
