New year, new school for West Drayton

Hillingdon Council has announced plans for a new primary school in West Drayton.

News release: 19 December 2014

St Martin's CE Primary School is sponsored by The Frays Academy Trust and will open its doors to 90 pupils in September 2015.

St Martin's is a Church of England Primary School with a Christian ethos but children from all faiths, or none, are warmly welcomed and encouraged to apply. The school is part of the Pan-London co-ordinated admissions process and parents can apply for a place online at www.hillingdon.gov.uk/schooladmissions.  Parents who have already submitted their application but would like to add St Martins can amend their application up until the closing date.

Cllr David Simmonds, Cabinet Member for Education, Children & Young People's Services, said:

"We are committed to ensuring all our children have a school place to go to in September and this new school will ensure that children in West Drayton receive the education they deserve.

"I'd like to remind parents that the deadline for applying for all primary schools in the borough is 15 January 2015."

St Martin's CE Primary is the third school to be built as part of Hillingdon Council's £150 million school expansion programme, the largest of its kind in London. For more information visit www.hillingdon.gov.uk/sip.
