Environment

Global warming and climate change are caused directly by our lifestyles, which have a major negative impact on our planet.

Light Bulb

Unusual weather, such as heat waves, flash floods and tornados, have already affected thousands of people. In the UK, 2014 was the hottest summer and 2012 the wettest summer on record.

Transport

Greenhouse gases, 20 percent of which are released by transport vehicles, seriously damage the environment, as well as cause harm to humans.

How can you help?

  1. Stretch your legs and go for a walk - enjoy the fresh air.
  2. Cycling, along with walking, involves no greenhouse gas emissions and is the most environmentally friendly means of transport.
  3. Take a bus or train - plan your journey online and choose the best route for you.
  4. Car - encourage family and friends who live in the same area to car share.

Our local governments are trying to make changes to the way we live that will benefit our planet, and there has never been a better time to work together at home and school and start living green.
