We have lots of facilities at the centre.

Service users and adult

The centre includes:

  • music room equipped with a variety of instruments to help residents improve their communication skills through music therapy
  • art room designed to encourage creativity and self expression through a range of activities including painting, drawing and crafts
  • interactive room offering the latest technology including movement controlled software that can be activated by any part of the body, including the eyes called a Magic carpet and an Eye tracker. This enables service users with severely limited mobility to take part in interactive learning games and activities
  • teaching kitchen which has been adapted so that service users of all abilities can learn important life skills in a fun, social environment
  • hydro pool with sensory lighting to help stimulate and encourage physical movement for service users with physical disabilities
  • snoozelum to enhance relaxation and wellbeing through lighting, colour, sounds and scents
  • health and Well Being room offering holistic therapies and massage to aid physical development and rehabilitation
  • gymnasium which will offer dance classes and physical activity sessions to improve coordination and mobility for residents of all abilities
  • sensory garden to aid the development of sensory abilities like smell or touch in a natural setting
  • communal areas to encourage social interaction and communication between residents
  • community hub areas there are rooms/a hub for information based sessions such as DASH, Personal Budget Support Service, Psychology, Speech and Language sessions and support for carers
