Manor Farm

Manor Farm Site is Hillingdon's flagship heritage site, dating back to medieval times.

The grounds are a mixture of formal and informal green space, including an orchard, a bowling green, a herb garden, the moat around the ancient motte, a duck pond and other amenity grass areas.

Address: Manor Farm Site, Bury Street, Ruislip, HA4 8BD

There are pedestrian entrances to the site via the top of Ruislip High Street (two adjacent entrances), St Martin's Approach (via footpath), Pinn Way, and two entrances from Bury Street (one behind the Great Barn and the other via the lych gate).

Opening times:

  • The Visitor Centre at Manor Farm House is open from March to October at the following times:
    • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: midday to 3pm
    • Saturday and Sunday: midday to 4pm
    • Market Sundays (1st and 3rd Sunday of the month): 11am to 4pm
  • The Tea Room (managed by another company), is open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 5pm. Sunday opening times vary according to markets and events.

How to get there

Car: There is road access to the site mainly via the St Martin's car park, with local on-street parking providing additional spaces, occasionally supplemented by the 86-space Winston Churchill Theatre car park, when not in use by hirers.

Public transport: Bus routes H13 and 331, from Pinner, Ruislip and Uxbridge pass right by the site, with several other bus routes (114, U1, U10, E7, 398) stopping within 10 minutes walk.

Also around 10 to 15 minutes walk away are Ruislip London Underground station (Metropolitan/Piccadilly) in one direction, and West Ruislip (Central line and Chiltern Mainline) in another.
