Exhibitions and events

We have a rolling programme of exhibitions in Uxbridge Library.

Our exhibitions can be viewed in the museum exhibition area on level 6.

Temporary major exhibitions are shown in the Atrium Gallery on the ground floor:

Hillingdon Child of the Sixties exhibition 2015-16

At times small displays are put on in branch libraries. We have provided display panels to some branches.

Our current exhibition

A History of Hillingdon in the Sixties Leave your legacy 1

Listen to some of the memories of Hillingdon residents recorded by our oral history project, supported by HLF funding.

We hold events for children, families and adults in Uxbridge Library and other venues around the Borough.

These include:

  • Talks - on local and family history
  • Family history workshops
  • Reminiscence sessions
  • Film nights
  • School visits

Full details are on our What's on guide

We can provide talks and sessions on most local or family history topics.

However, we need three month's notice. Pre-prepared events may require substantially less notice. Contact us for more details.
