Ickenham Neighbourhood Forum

The council received a formal application from Ickenham residents for the designation of a "neighbourhood area" and a "neighbourhood forum". The application aims to demonstrate that the Group meets the conditions set out in the Localism Act for preparing a neighbourhood development plan and outlines the neighbourhood area, map and written constitution:

In accordance with The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 the council invited comments on this application from Tuesday 20 September 2016 to Wednesday 2 November 2016. Representations considered whether the neighbourhood area and the neighbourhood forum were appropriate to be designated. Following a review of the consultation findings, Ickenham Neighbourhood Forum and the corresponding area were approved by Cabinet on 15 December 2016. Ickenham Neighbourhood Forum will now begin preparing their Neighbourhood Plan.

Call for sites

As part of its work in assessing future development needs, the Forum are calling upon landowners and agents within the Ickenham Neighbourhood Area for expressions of interest in applying for future planning permission.

This is an informal opportunity for landowners and developers to propose sites within Ickenham for development. This exercise will not in itself decide whether a site would be allocated for development by the neighbourhood plan, nor will it commit the proposer(s) to applying for planning permission. The site suggestions received will be used to guide and inform the preparation of site allocations in the Neighbourhood Plan, should the Forum decide to include any.

If you want a site/s to be considered for development in Ickenham, the Forum would like to hear from you. The sites need not be in your ownership if you have a responsibility for managing them and they can be proposals for a wide range of development uses. The deadline for submitting a response is the 28 February 2018.

For further details of how to submit a site, please visit the Ickenham Neighbourhood Forum website.
