Cycle Skills training

We offer free cycle skills training in a variety of categories from commuter, family, beginner and refresher for any one aged over 16 living in Hillingdon who would like to gain confidence on the road and those looking to return to cycling who haven't ridden for a while.

We offer a variety of training sessions, including:

  • Family: On Saturday's, from 10am to 12pm for families as a group to learn how to cycle safely on the road or for members of the family who want to learn, Balance-2-cycle. Under 18's must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Bikes are ONLY available for those 10-11yrs+. If your child is under this age range then you will need to bring a bike along for them to use. (age restrictions may still need to apply).
  • Beginner: On Sunday's, from 9.30am to 11.30am for adults over 16 years of age who have never ridden a bike before. 
  • Refresher: On Sunday's, from 9.30am to 11.30am for adults over 16 years of age who can already cycle but would like to brush up on their skills and confidence. 
  • Commuter: On Saturday's, from 10am to 12pm for those wishing to commute on our specific cycle routes in the borough. Bicycles and equipment are not provided.

Please note: The session categories may be scheduled on different days of the week.

Please note: Currently there are no instances scheduled for this event.

All applicants aged 16 to 17-years-old will need to be accompanied by an adult on their training sessions.
