Adult learning and career development

Education and careers

We offer free, impartial and practical information and advice to all residents aged 19 and over, you don't need to be learning with us to receive this support.

We have trained advisors who will support and guide you through it all free of charge, whether that involves studying on a course with us or doing something completely different.

Most residents prefer to have a conversation, which can take place over the telephone or in person by appointment. We also offer regular, free one-to-one interviews with advisors from the National Careers Service. Contact one of our centres to make an appointment.

We have a range of courses that will give you the skills, confidence and qualifications you need to get into work in different fields, whether you need to upskill, change your career completely, or maybe you are starting out for the first time.

We also run short courses to help you write or strengthen your CV, support with job searching or practice your interview skills.

Visit our Careers Advice Hub for information about preparing for work and job opportunities, including volunteering opportunities with Hillingdon Adult and Community Learning and other organisations.
