Adult learning and career development

Education and careers

We offer free, impartial and practical information and advice to all residents aged 19 and over, whether or not you are learning with us.

We have trained advisors who will work through it all with you free of charge, whether that involves studying on a course with us or doing something completely different.

Most residents prefer to have a conversation, which can take place over the telephone or in person by appointment. We also offer regular, free one-to-one interviews with advisors from the National Careers Service. Visit the National Careers Service or contact one of our centres to make an appointment.

We have a range of courses that will give you the skills and qualifications you need to get into work in different fields, including professional qualifications and employability courses.

We also run short courses to help you strengthen your CV or explore new career possibilities.

Our careers hub provides information about preparing for work and job opportunities, including volunteering opportunities with Hillingdon Adult and Community Learning and other organisations.
