Freedom of Information publication scheme

As required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, we have produced a publication scheme detailing the information we make publicly available. Unless otherwise specified, the information is online and free.

Accessing information

Any document available on our website can be found by using the link provided in the publication scheme or by searching for the document using the site search.

Library staff in the borough should also be able to help you find a document. Where a document or information is not available online, you should contact the indicated owner who will arrange for the information to be sent to you.

Advice for people with accessibility issues

  • If you have no internet access: You can access the Web free at any library in the borough
  • If you do not wish to use a computer: Library staff will print you a copy of any document or will order you a copy (if applicable).
  • If you have a disability: There is wheelchair access to borough libraries and the Civic Centre.

Will I have to pay?

Hillingdon makes as much information as possible free of charge. No new charges have been made as a result of this scheme.

Broadly the position on charges is:

  • Website - information free of charge
  • Email/post - information free unless otherwise stated. However, if the total number of pages to be copied is more that 50 pages, we reserve the right to charge 10p for every subsequent A4 page printed (or 15p for A3 pages), as well as any postage costs.
  • Material printed from a public-access computer - a charge may be made to cover the cost.
  • Publications produced for sale - cost as per cover price.

Where can I use the internet?

The council offers free internet access at all the council's 17 libraries.

Appointments to use the internet can be booked in advance.
