The group meets to connect, improve and restore rivers, educate and empower the community and campaign for positive change for the good of people and the environment.
Thames21 meets on the last two Thursdays of the month and meets at various places along the River Pinn and Cannon Brook.

Enhancing the River Pinn project
'Enhancing the River Pinn' is an exciting project that aims to deliver a more ecologically vibrant River Pinn and Cannon Brook through community events, such as:
- balsam bashing
- scrub management
- planting wetland species
- clean ups
- tree planting
- installing large wood deflectors.
