Heated Hillingdon Lido celebrates 'Totally Tropical' fun day with Love Island stars Eva and Nas
Thursday 5 August: On Saturday 7 August, West London's premier outdoor swimming venue will get a 'totally tropical' makeover when the water will be heated for the first time and the doors will be opened for a family fun day.

Londoner couple and Love Island TV stars Eva Zapico and Nas Majeed - often seen poolside in Casa Amor - will attend the tropical-island-themed event, umpiring the limbo dancing and judging the Hawaiian Shirt competition.
Swim stalwarts The Lido Ladies will also attend the event in their characteristic colourful costumes.
Customers are invited to book via the Better_UK app to ensure their place at the inaugural heated swim.
In keeping with Hillingdon Council's desire to be carbon neutral by 2030, Hillingdon Lido will be using renewable energy to heat the lido's clean blue waters - enabling more swimmers to enjoy the water more often.
Hillingdon Lido's Totally Tropical Beach Party will run from 10.30am to 2pm on Saturday 7 August and include family fun activities, a steel pan band, limbo dancing, competitions, special guests and of course - swimming.
Keely Shelton, Better's Partnership Manager for Hillingdon said: "Summer's here and to mark this expansion of Hillingdon's public swim offer, we are excited to announce our 'totally tropical' family fun day on Saturday 7 August.
"You don't need to go abroad to swim in warm water because Hillingdon Lido is now heated year round meaning everyone can enjoy longer in the water.
"It's going to be a huge draw for swimmers from West London and beyond and we can't wait to welcome customers this summer."
Cllr Susan O'Brien, Hillingdon Council's Cabinet Member for Families, Education and Wellbeing, said: "We're delighted to be working in partnership with Better on providing warm-water swimming at Hillingdon Lido all year round.
"Our £370,000 investment in this project will also see new lighting for those darker winter mornings and evenings, outdoor heated shower facilities and new pool covers that will act as a heat retainer and keep the pool clean.
"And, as part of our joint commitment to make leisure facilities across the borough carbon neutral, it's fantastic news that we're able to maximise the use of this pool while minimising the impact on the climate.
"We will continue to deliver first-class leisure facilities for our residents to help them stay fit and healthy."
Guest of honour will be Hillingdon's Mayor, Cllr Roy Chamdal.
