Arts in action

Arts in Action is a new Hillingdon Council festival of arts giving local residents a showcase for their talents, as well as encouraging others to join in the fun.

Arts in Action 2017

The festival runs from Saturday 24 June to Saturday 15 July 2017 and has scheduled a massive and varied number of events, shows, projects and activities for all ages and abilities which all promote what Hillingdon's artistic residents have to offer.

This local festival provides a chance for local arts groups to share their very varied talents and hard work with the wider community, as well as to encourage many more people to discover the power and potential of community art projects.

Opportunities to see, hear and try out a variety of Arts in Action, includes:

  • Stardust Big Band playing in the Fassnidge Park bandstand.

  • Shakespeare on the grass courtyard and Mozart in the Great Barn at Manor Farm.

  • Archive footage of the borough, shown on the screen at Winston Churchill Theatre.

  • Folk, jazz and an evening with Jeffrey Archer.

  • Young drama students paying tribute to Roald Dahl and Alan Ayckbourn.

  • Choral and orchestral music from around the world in 80 minutes!

The festival includes many FREE events and advance booking is recommended.
