Autumn Renovations Fortnight
Monday 25 September to Sunday 8 October
Autumn renovation works are scheduled to be completed at Haste Hill and Uxbridge Public Golf Courses.
Throughout the two-week period there will be maintenance activity on the greens, the bulk of which will be operational during the times of course closures below and is subject to favourable weather conditions:
- Uxbridge Public Golf Course - Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 September
- Haste Hill Public Golf Course - Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 October
Heavy duty scarification and linear aeration will take place, to remove dead organic material (thatch). This will be followed with overseeding to improve sward density, and top dressing with sand will be brushed in to fill the holes and true up the surfaces.
Temporary greens may be in play from time to time to ensure that the work is continuous and is completed as expediently as possible. We ask that our customers be understanding during this renovation period and give priority to all greenkeeping staff.
These vital works are necessary to ensure the best possible playing surfaces going into the winter and we thank you for your cooperation and understanding in helping us achieve these improved conditions.
