Stoptober - quit smoking

If you're a smoker and looking to quit, 1 October brings with it Stoptober.

Stoptober Challenge

Are you thinking of quitting smoking? Research has shown that if you manage to quit for a month, you're five times more likely to quit for good.

Unite with the nation's smokers in stubbing out your cigarettes for good during October! Those who get involved and manage to quit for four weeks are five times more likely to ditch the habit for good.

So why not join the many Hillingdon residents who got involved last year and sign up too? For the free app, support packs and advice, search search www.stoptober.smokefree.nhs.uk.

To get local support to quit smoking during Stoptober, and all year round, Hillingdon Stop Smoking service runs a number of free weekly, one to one drop in clinics. For further information please phone:0800 169 7541 or email smokingcessation@hillingdon.gov.uk.

One to one help is also offered through local community pharmacies. Here friendly advisers will support you through October with stop smoking medication if appropriate and offer advice on how to cope with cravings and techniques to break the habit. Please contact you local pharmacy for further details.

Research shows that you are five times more likely to quit with our support than going it alone.
