The former ASHA Day Care Centre, situated off Coldharbour Lane, has been transformed into a multi-purpose space incorporating an array of integrated services for children aged 0 to 19 (up to 25 years of age for those with special educational needs).

The Hayes Family Hub is the second of its kind in Hillingdon, with the flagship Uxbridge Family Hub opening back in December 2021, and will make services more accessible for families and young people.

From January, parents and carers in Hayes will be able to access support for children of all ages in one place including breastfeeding support for babies, play groups for children and mentoring services for teenagers.

Facilities include a modern reception and waiting area, an outdoor area for children, conference spaces, play zones, treatment rooms and a life skills kitchen for supervised learning.

Local residents will be offered services in-person or online with access to counselling, health visitors, a sexual health clinic for young people, youth services, parenting programmes, SEND support, adult education opportunities, maternity support and more.

The hub was officially opened by Hillingdon Council's Cllr Jonathan Bianco, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Property, Highways and Transport and Cllr Susan O'Brien, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education, and will be fully open to the public in the new year.

Cllr Susan O'Brien, Hillingdon Council's Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education said: "Our new family hubs allow us to bring a whole host of services for children of all ages together under one roof, making them more accessible for families. Hayes Family Hub will be a welcome addition to the local community and offer a safe place for support, recreation and growth.

"In line with our strategy, approved in September, we plan to open a total of six family hubs and additional delivery points in the heart of local communities, including existing children's centres, libraries, community spaces and leisure centres that are within 1.5 miles or 30 minutes' walk from residents' homes."
