Harefield Infant and Junior Schools consultation
We are proposing to close Harefield Infant School and extend the age range of Harefield Junior School from 7 to 11-year-olds to 3 to 11-year-olds.
The new school will include pupils from 4 to 5-year-olds (reception) through to 10 to 11-year-olds (year 6) and will provide the same nursery class for 3 to 4-year-olds as the current infant school.
It will also admit up to 60 pupils each year, which is the same number of students currently admitted by both the infant and junior schools, ensuring that no pupils will be displaced.
If approved, Harefield Infant School will close on Tuesday 31 March 2026. Harefield Junior School will extend its age range to become a primary school from Wednesday 1 April 2026.
Please note: The proposed amalgamation will not result in any school buildings or property being closed, removed, developed or sold.
