Discover new opportunities with Learn Hillingdon's 2025/26 courses
Monday 28 July 2025: Learn Hillingdon's adult education centres are taking bookings for classes starting in September with hundreds of part-time day and evening courses for people aged 19 and above.

If you'd like to support children's development in their early years, Learn Hillingdon now offers new childcare courses to help you become a qualified special educational needs and disabilities support worker in early years settings, or a nutrition for childcare professionals' course.
The new professional learning development courses are designed to help you increase your knowledge and understanding of autism, address challenging behaviour in the childcare, health or social care sectors, and gain insights into children and young people's mental health.
The popular 10-week course to become a registered childminder returns, alongside English, maths and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses to help you feel more confident using numbers and communicate more effectively.
If you're passionate about helping others and making a real difference, the health and social care courses can support you in pursuing a rewarding career, and there are digital skills and IT courses to help you feel more confident using your phone or computer to complete everyday tasks or embark on a career in a growing industry. Also available are floristry qualification courses, which suit a wide range of levels and abilities, and our British Sign Language courses, which can help you break down communication barriers and enhance your CV.
There is a varied curriculum for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities that aims to boost confidence, provide social interaction and develop independent living skills. You can learn with experienced staff in safe, friendly and fun classes.
Tsion Tadesse, from West Drayton, has gained qualifications in health and social care with Learn Hillingdon. She said: "My tutors were incredibly supportive, always encouraging and ready to help whenever I needed guidance. Most importantly, I've developed greater confidence in myself and a clearer understanding of my role as a carer."
Jonathan Rowlands, from Hayes, has been learning digital skills. Having worked as an HGV driver for more than 15 years, a serious illness last year left him unable to continue driving and in need of a career change.
He enrolled on the free 'using a computer' course and said: "I found this course both enjoyable and very informative and it lets you learn at your own pace to ensure you have full understanding."
Cllr Susan O'Brien, Hillingdon Council's Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education, said: "Our Learn Hillingdon courses ensure that thousands of residents of all ages have access to high-quality learning opportunities each year, giving them tools to help gain employment, develop their careers further and live healthy, active and independent lives.
"This year's programme of courses offers flexible and varied options, making learning even more accessible and can fit in around other commitments, such as work and raising a family.
"There's a fantastic team of talented tutors who are on hand to help you pick the right course for you. All of the classes have been designed to offer great value for money - so get in touch and start your learning journey with us today."
