Popular Old Vinyl Factory Festival returns

Thursday 11 September 2025: Hillingdon Council has announced the return of its Old Vinyl Factory Festival on Saturday 27 September following the success of its debut earlier this year.

Held on Record Walk and Material Walk, Hayes, the free outdoor event, from 11.30am to 5pm, will be a vibrant celebration of the borough's rich musical heritage.

In partnership with Hanwell Hootie and Intrepid Collective, the festival will feature live music performances from local artists, a vinyl record fair curated by Groove Seekers, and a street food market showcasing borough-based businesses with support from T&T Markets.

There will also be free activities and creative workshops for children.

The festival, part of the council's strategy to enhance town centres across the borough and what they offer local people, is a celebration of the musical history and culture of Hayes, paying tribute to the iconic former home of EMI Records.

By bridging past and present, it aims to inspire a new generation of creators and music lovers while cementing Hayes as a vibrant cultural, creative and business destination.

Cllr Steve Tuckwell, Hillingdon Council's Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing and Growth, said: "Our first festival was a roaring success, which more than 1,200 people attended, celebrating the cultural history of Hayes and supporting emerging local talent.

"The festival is a great example of how we are working with local partners and businesses to bring our town centres to life, as well as offering local artists and businesses a platform to thrive.

"I'm delighted it's back for round two, and we've listened to attendees' feedback to make it bigger and better. Everyone's welcome, and there's plenty to enjoy — don't miss out."
