"We are proud to be a diverse borough with a longstanding spirit of respect and unity where our residents treat one another with care and consideration.

"While we uphold the right to peaceful protest over the placement by the Home Office of asylum seekers in hotels in Hillingdon, this must never cross into intimidation or criminal activity, and we continue to work closely with our partners to prioritise the safety of our communities.

"We would encourage everyone to uphold Hillingdon's proud history of being a tolerant borough by looking out for one another and having mutual respect for all."
