Cllr Pat Jackson, who represented Hillingdon East between 2006 to 2020, passed away in July, and a footpath at Knights Gardens in the ward has been named 'Pat Jackson Walk' in her memory.

The Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr Philip Corthorne; Leader of the Council, Cllr Ian Edwards; Cabinet Members and ward councillors unveiled the tribute. They were joined by Pat's two sons David and Robert, along with their wives Aneta and Charlotte, to honour her years of dedicated service to residents.

Signs have been installed at both ends of the well-loved pocket park in recognition of Pat's involvement with improving the open space.

During her time on the council, she was a strong advocate for the borough's parks and green spaces, often volunteering her time to support their upkeep.

Cllr Corthorne said: "Pat was a committed public servant who cared deeply about her community and making a real difference to our borough.

"She was dedicated to making a difference to people's lives, supporting her ward however she could and putting residents first.

"This naming serves as a lasting tribute to Pat's dedication to preserving Hillingdon's green spaces.

"She is very much missed, and this honour is a wonderful reminder of not only the amount of time, effort and positive work she undertook in her community, but also the kindness, warmth and time she had for people."
