Planning Committees

You may have recently been notified of a planning application in your area. With a valid petition, you may be able to speak to the Planning Committee directly on the matter.

Hillingdon Council has two planning committees, the:

The Major Applications Planning Committee determines major planning applications or matters in relation to High Speed 2 (HS2). The Borough Planning Committee determines smaller scale planning applications.

Both committees comprise of 7 elected councillors. You may be able to speak in support or against a planning application at one of these committees, but only upon our receipt of a valid petition enabling this. Written representations (in lieu of attending to speak in person) are permitted at this time. More details about this can be found on the council's petitions scheme.

These committees meet in public and meetings are also broadcast live on the Council's YouTube channel: Hillingdon London
