Councillor David Yarrow

Cllr David Yarrow was Mayor of Hillingdon from 2019 to 2020 and the Mayoress was Cllr Mary O'Connor MBE. The Deputy Mayor was Cllr Teji Barnes, the Deputy Mayoress was Roma Bell, and the Deputy Mayor's Escort was Cameron Bell.

He was also Mayor of Hillingdon from 2010 to 2011 and the Mayoress was Rita Kilroy. The Deputy Mayor was Cllr Mary O'Connor MBE, the Deputy Mayoress was Lily Meares, and the Deputy Mayor's Escorts were Paul O'Connor and Tim McCarthy.

He had a grammar school education in Bradford, West Yorkshire, and qualified as a metallurgist from Bradford Technical College in 1965. He started work as a research metallurgist in the high alloy steel industry and progressed to hold a portfolio of positions within light engineering companies, both in the UK and the USA.

He was primarily involved with quality control, but also worked as both a sales manager and a works manager in his later years. He retired in December 2008 to continue with his local government service and was elected to the council in May 1990; serving as Deputy Leader between 1998 and 2002. He is a member of the central and south planning committee, major planning committee and the HS2 planning sub-committee.

In addition, he was previously chairman of the executive scrutiny committee, education youth and leisure committee, social services committee and contract review committee. His other interests include photography, travel, music, electronics and computing.
