Cllr George Cooper
He has lived in Hillingdon all his life, the majority of that time in Uxbridge. He also spent five very happy years living in Hayes.

He was first elected as a councillor in May 1990, representing the North Uxbridge Ward - a ward in which he lived as a small child. Since then, he has served as an Uxbridge North Councillor continually.

During his time as a councillor, he has served on many committees, including Social Services, Education, Audits and Planning. He also served as Deputy Whip of the Majority Party, then subsequently as Chief Whip for 11 years, before becoming Deputy Mayor.

He currently serves as a Governor of St Mary's Catholic Primary School, which he has done for many years, and much of that time is spent chairing the Finance Committee.

A Trustee of Groundwork South and Fassnidge Memorial Trusts, he also serves on the Hoenigsberg Memorial Trust, Yeading Valley Working Party, Colne Valley Park CIC and is a reserve member of the Heathrow Airport Consultative Committee.

He and his wife Judith share a great interest in music, history and archaeology. Judith is also a councillor representing Uxbridge South, the ward in which they have lived for the past 40 years.
