Who can apply for a garage?
Residents can apply for a garage in Hillingdon.
Please note: The council reserves the right to refuse an application if your housing rent is in arrears. If you knowingly provide false information, your application for a garage could be cancelled.
What can I use a rented garage for?
Garages are let out for the use of vehicle or personal storage use only. Trade or business cannot be conducted from council garages.
The council does not guarantee the condition of any of its garages, and any goods stored within them are entirely at the owner's risk. The council does not accept any liability for any loss or damage.
Cost of renting a garage
Garages available will be let at different rent bandings depending on the location.

Please note: VAT is payable on weekly rents (excluding council tenants).
Rents can be paid weekly or monthly. You will be required to complete a direct debit mandate form at your letting appointment.

When your application has been approved, you will be contacted by a member of our garages team to arrange an appointment to attend the Civic Centre, Uxbridge, to complete the letting process.
Repairs and maintenance
If your garage requires repair or maintenance during your tenancy it can be reported via the council's contact centre on 01895 556600.
Terminating your garage tenancy
We require 7 days' prior notice for a garage tenancy to be terminated.
To terminate your garage tenancy, email firstname.lastname@example.org and return the garage key to us.
