Providing enjoyable opportunities for schools and students of all abilities and experience.

Sing! Primary Singing Festival 

A joyful celebration of group singing, this 6-month programme is designed to encourage and support group singing in primary schools. 

Teachers will benefit from 2 CPD workshops, 4 teacher choir sessions, in-school visits, and free access to songs and resources from ABRSM Voices.

Please note: Schools will need to make a non-refundable contribution of £350 (plus VAT).

Key dates and workshops 

Introductory workshop
Monday 27 January 2025
At the Civic Centre, Uxbridge, UB8 1UW

This introductory workshop is an essential part of the festival and all participating teachers are expected to attend.  

This workshop will introduce:

  • the group song that you will be teaching to your school groups 
  • foundations of singing technique and how to teach it 
  • tips and exercises for leading group singing.

Teacher's choir
February to May 2025, 4.30pm to 6.30pm
At the Civic Centre, Uxbridge, UB8 1UW

This session is an essential part of the festival and all participating teachers are expected to attend a minimum of 1 session.

Led by Rose Martin from ABRSM Voices, teachers will be able participate in a staff only singing group, learn more about leading singing and discover new exercises and repertoire for your groups . 

Sessions are also open to schhol teachers at a cost of £35 (plus VAT), payable by invoice. 

Festival workshop days and evening concerts 
Tuesday 3 June 2025 - 9am to 12.30pm (morning session) and 1.30pm to 5pm (afternoon session)
At the Wycombe Swan Theatre, High Wycombe, HP11 2XE

Led by our partners at ABRSM Voices, school groups will be able to perform at the Wycombe Swan Theatre, participate in multiple workshops and perform in a massed song.

Please note: Coaches to and from the theatre will be provided.

This session is an essential part of the festival and all participating teachers are expected to attend.

Led by our partners at ABRSM Voices, teachers will be able to reflect on what they have learned, discuss how to bring these skills into their day-to-day teaching and learn more about the Model Music Curriculum and improving their Music Development Plans.
