Information on the Department for Work and Pensions and the Work Health Programme.

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)

The DWP offers a variety of support and advice to people seeking training and employment.

For those with a disability, DWP can also provide a dedicated disability employment advisor, based at your local JobCentre Plus.

Disability employment advisors can signpost individuals to the most appropriate training or employment opportunities in the local area and provide information about Access to Work grants.

Social Care and Further Education Pathways 

Social Care and Further Education Pathways is a free, voluntary service, which aims to support young people and adults with special education needs and disabilities, or social care needs, to improve their wellbeing and find meaningful employment. This programme is also open to carers of young people eligible for support.

Work Health Programme

The Work Health Programme can help people to find sustained work who have been unemployed and give them access to a range of support, personal development, employability skills and direct links to employers. This is all done with the assistance of a personal employment advisor or support manger.
